Leadership Loudoun Youth

Leadership Loudoun Youth is a partnership between Leadership Loudoun and Loudoun Youth, Inc. The 3rd annual Leadership Loudoun Youth Class of 2012 will expand to 2 program classes. The 1-week community leadership development program will be held the week of July 16th and the week of August 6th. These are 2 separate program classes. Each class will have 25 current and emerging leader participants. We seek 1-2 rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors from each Loudoun County public and private high school; home school; and Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST must live in Loudoun County). The application deadline is Thursday, May 31st, 2012. To apply for the Leadership Loudoun Youth Class of 2012, please complete the on-line LLY2012 Application. Program tuition is $400.
The week will include leadership skills development - leadership theory and leadership in action - business, government, and non-profit - throughout Loudoun County with many stops along a journey to visit and learn from many people, places, and things.
The week will begin on Monday @ 1 p.m. in Leesburg and include an overnight opening retreat @ Meadowkirk in Middleburg, continuing straight into Tuesday; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will start @ 8:30 a.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday will end @ 4:30 p.m.; Friday will include a lunch, closing ceremony and graduation with family invited which will conclude ~1 p.m.
